The week of Thanksgiving we had the chance to have my parents out to visit. I can't believe what a hit they were with Ezra. I mean, I thought he'd love it for sure but they were here for 6 hours and Ez had already turned his back on us. All he wanted was "Da", his Pa or "Nonie", his Nona. But boy am I glad that he got to spend that one-on-one time with them, and from the sounds of it, they loved it just as much! So many memories made for one little boy. Thanks Mom & Dad!

Thank Heavens for grandparents, we can't wait to be home for Christmas where he'll be able to play with all of them; Nona, Pa, Poppy, and Lala. I know they're counting down the days like we are.

Shout out to Dave.

Have you ever wondered how much time is put in to earning a JD or PhD or Masters? I can't believe how many hours Dave has put in during just the last week. He has been studying for at least 15 hours a day. The other 9 consists of playing with Ezra, eating, and sleeping. Last night I was trying to sleep, but I just couldn't with out Dave being home. While I was laying awake, I was thinking about how lonely our husbands have to be, with just them, the books, and the other students. And ultimately they are doing this for us, their families. They sacrifice so much; sleep, time with their kids, sanity (at times), extra curricular activities, and money, and those are just a few off the top of my head.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dave and let him know how proud I am of him. Dave, I love you so much! I couldn't be more proud of you. You're an amazing husband, father, brother, and son. Ezra couldn't ask for a better dad, no matter what you find time for just the 2 of you. You have so many wonderful qualities that Ez and I can both learn from; loving, strong testimony, hard working, dedication, sacrifice, happy, family orientated, and so much more.

I'm it...

I've been tagged twice, and I am sorry that it has taken me so long to post this. But here it goes, 7 random facts about me.

1- I put french fries on my McDonald cheese burgers. Only at McDonalds though. It doesn't taste right unless there are fries loaded on top.

2- I say "I'm all..." a lot. I say it way way too much! I have tried cutting back but it doesn't seem to help.

3- I can eat chips and salsa all day everyday. Dave makes me salsa at least 2 a week. He makes the best homemade salsa! In fact that is what I'm eating right now...YUMMY!

4- I am OCD. In the weirdest ways, my towels are always folded and lined up perfectly, when loading the dish washer spoons go in one holder, forks in one and knives in one, they don't mix. I count tiles on the floor or ceiling, anything.

5- I make math equations with any set of numbers. Addresses, phone numbers, time, license plates, anything. Example the clock says 2:24: 2x2=4 or 4-2=2. I do this with out even thinking about it. Dave sometimes says whats your equation for that address, and without even a second thought I spit it out. Weird, I know.

6- I can't keep a surprise. It's really hard for me to keep secrets, like what I give everyone for Christmas or Birthdays. When I found out I was pregnant I wanted to tell everyone right away. I am doing better, Dave's Christmas present is still a secret...Want to know what it is?

7- I love shopping! I can't get enough of it. It doesn't matter what or who it is for. I really could do it everyday. The one thing that makes me happier is when I find an awesome sale. Dave and I are quite the bargain shoppers. If you need tips let us know we love sharing the goodness.

Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving with Nona & Pa visiting! We went over to the Fausett's (my cousin & her family). Aunt Darlene (my Dad's sister) was also in town. It was really nice to have all of us together. Ezra absolutely loves playing with his cousins. Clytie really takes good care of him, she even shared her pie with him.

Temple Trip.

After a long awaited trip we finally got to go to the Detroit Temple. We went with our good friends Scott & Ang Dewey. And Thanks to the Fausettes we were able to leave Ezra behind. Ez loves to play with his cousins so it was a win-win for our familiy, but probably not for Heidi. Thanks again Heidi, it is so nice to have such great family support!

SURPRISE!!!!

Wow, who could ask for better grandparents?! I know Ez can't. Yesterday we got a big surprise package from Grandma & Grandpa Pacheco and needless to say Ezra and Dave love it! Its a giant (for Ez anyway) blow up jumper. Ez was so excited that he couldn't wait for us to finish blowing it up he just kept on climbing all over it. Since it has been put up he spends a good 60% of his time climbing in and out of it while giggling. Thanks for the new babysitter Mum & Pops! "We-woo (love you)" & "Din-doo (thank you)", Ezra.

Carriage Ride.

This week Ezra and I went on a carriage ride with some friends. They had lots of fun, I think Ezra's favorite part was the "gcoo-kee"(cookie) and the "doggy" (the horse or any kind of animal with 4 legs.) We love doing fun things with our friends. It is so nice to be able to hang out with other moms who love to get out and do stuff with their lil' ones. Ez really enjoys playing with other kids.

We had so much fun on the carriage ride that we decided to take Dave the next day. Ez was just as excited to see the "doggy" as he was the day before. In fact when we got there we had to wait in line and when the carriage left it broke his little heart. We made it all better with a green sprinkled sugar "gcoo-kee." We can't wait until Nona & Pa are here to go on all sorts of fun adventures with us!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We had a great Halloween. Ezra was a Pirate and Dave was a 80's rocker and I was his woman. We went trick-or-treatin in the morning on Main street. Ezra caught on pretty quick that people were giving him candy and he wasn't about to complain. Later we had 2 parties hosted by 2 of many great friends we have out here, the Skousens and Deweys. Thanks so much for putting on such great celebrations. I hope everyone had as great of a holiday as we did!

New Camera

Well, after months of saving we finally got our new camera. We ended up getting a Nikon D80, and we got it for a way good deal. This is a new hobby both Dave and I wanted to get into
so we splurged. We both have been messing with it the last week to learn all the cool stuff that it can do.

First Steps

Ez took his first steps on Friday night at our ward Halloween party. I was eating a sucker I stole from some little kid (J/K, that is something Ben would do...) and he really wanted a taste. RicAnn held him up and he started walking to get the sucker and took 2 steps by himself. We kept trading the sucker and he kept taking 2-4 steps to get a taste. This morning we tried the walking without the sucker incentive and he took 5 or 6 steps all by himself. He is very proud of himself. We have it on video and we'll post it soon.

This is Ezra in his first bubble bath. Ezra loves bath time and now with bubbles he loves it even more (I didn't think it was possible.) Anytime he hears water running in the bathroom he makes a dash for it and tries to climb in. Then when it's time to get out he is a very sad little boy, the only one who makes him happy is the baby in the mirror. Man, I love being a mom!

Fall Break Pics

Fall Break

Well we are now finishing up Dave's 2nd Fall Break...or should I say 2nd to last Fall Break! We had quite the adventures.

First we went to the Plymouth Apple Mill. It was perfect weather to start out the fun fall activity. We went on a hayride, ate fresh donuts and cider, pet the animals, and played on the pumpkins.

From Wednesday to Friday Ezra and I had to play on our own. Dave was in Utah taken care of some business. I don't think Ez had as much fun with just me. Everyday he would crawl to our bedroom door and knock while asking for "daddy." I think that Dave missed his "bestest buddy" also. They are quite the pair. I guess we need to have a lil' girl so I'm not so lonely. (Now I just have to convince Dave)

On Saturday we went to another great Michigan Game. We played Purdue, we won 48-21! Ezra is 100% boy, he absolutely loves football. He stood at the rail cheered, laughed, and danced. After the game we headed to Ohio to meet some friends at Cedar Pointe, but we didn't make it. Dave repeatedly said "I hate Ohio!" and "Who taught you how to read a map? You need to earn your map merit badge." If you haven't guessed, I got us lost so we never made it :( So instead we had the Fausett kids over for cookies and a movie. Ezra loved having someone to play with. In the end we had lots of fun!

My favorite Tree.

I don't know why, but every time we drive past this tree I say to Dave, I love that tree! I think that it may have to do that the leaves are half red and half green. It is so eye catching when you drive into the parking lot. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
