Our little walker.
He's not a new walker but he is celebrating his year mark. It has been exactly 1 year since Ez took his first steps. We were at the ward Trunk or Treat (Oct. 26th 2008) and Ez decided to walk for a sucker. Last night we went to the Trunk or Treat and Ez decided to run for a handful of candy. Our little guys is growing up so fast!!!

So after reading RicAnn's list of quirks, I thought of something she should have included; her various sayings, etc. ( I wanted to say "linguistic mannerisms", but come on, that would have been REALLY lame).
"I was telling Dave..."
Just about anything she tells a friend is prefaced by "I was telling Dave". Half of it I don't remember her telling me, but I'm sure she did at some point. When I get home from school, RicAnn is glad to finally talk to an adult, so I get an earful while I am trying to build a sweet tunnel for Thomas the Train.
"Does that make sense?"
She got this one from her mom. If she explains something, she always follows up with "Does that make sense". Now one of my professors is doing it too. Weird...
I ______, Im all like ________.
When she says something clever, funny, rude, or out of the ordinary, she immediatly follows up with "Im all like" and then repeats whatever she just said. Example: "That's what she said, im all like that's what she said"

You would think RicAnn was a valley girl because of how much she uses "like". Sorry babe, shoulda taken you to Cali.
Misheard lyrics - "wasn't very so"
So this is for those of you (un)lucky enough to have heard "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree". Instead of singing, "it wasn't really so" she says, "it wasn't very so". Her entire family does it too, it is pretty funny. The first time I heard her say it I asked if she knew what she was saying. She thought about it for a minute and realized it made absolutely no sense, but that hasn't stopped her from signing it.

I think she got this one from me, but it is her feminine version of "home boy/slice/skillet". Even though she got it from me, it is much better when she says it.
"Shut up!"
If you tell her something interesting, new, scandalous, etc. She will tell you to shut up. I think this is a pretty frequent saying, but I heard it from her first. The first time she said it to me, I was surprised and apologized.
These are just a few things that make her RicAnn and they are all part of why I love her so much.

Double Duty
I've been tagged twice! I am so sorry that it has taken me this long to respond. So this one is for you, Brandi & Holly.
The first tag is as follows:
List 6 of your quirks and tag 6 people at the end.
1- I love vacuuming! My vacuum lines are always straight and go the same direction. I know its pretty OCD but I love looking at an un walked on freashly vacuumed floor.
2- I am a chronic list maker. (Holly we should make lists together :)) I make lists of things I need to make lists about. And I love getting things crossed off my lists, I like it so much that I put things on it that I know I will get done like take a nap or shower or make dinner. Oh I love the feeling of achievement.
3- I HATE chicken fat. I will cut off any piece that even looks kind of fatty. Needless to say when I am done trimming the fat there is not much breast left.
4- Any baseball fans out there? Please don't hate me :) But I like the Red Sox and the Yankees. I've loved the Red Sox from day one, long before they broke the curse and everyone else liked them. And the Yankees are my second favorite, I love, love, love the Yankee Stadium so for some reason I just love the team :)
5- I can't resist a dare or some would say "no rocks." It's always been something I've done, and yes it has gotten me in to trouble at times. The thing is I really don't care what people think so weather it is singing in public or eating a huge glob of butter I am totally game. I hope all of you have had an experience with me and a fun dare :) if not prepare yourself.
6- And lastly my name. I love my name it is truly unique. I thought it was bad when I was growing up, nobody I mean nobody could pronounce it right. I always knew when my name was next on a list/role because of the long pause the teacher would make. Little did I know that I'd marry someone with an equally quirky last name. But I absolutely love my name!

Fall Break & Pumpkin Patch
Well, we haven't had too exciting of a fall break. We were supposed to go to Chicago but our little man Ez got sick with a viral infection. Just when Ez was getting over his fun junk our dog Sammy decided to get fleas!!! So 2 of our days were filled with de-fleaing our house and dog. So lets be honest, it wasn't all that great. But we did have one day left and we are going to make the best of it, so we headed to the pumpkin patch. Ez loved seeing the animals, riding on the tractor, eating donuts, and picking pumpkins! It was a well needed fun break.
We took lots of pictures to make up for the not so fun days, so there are lots of them, Enjoy!

The UP.
For those of you who don't know "The UP" is Michigander for Upper Penninsula (the part of state not connected to the "mitten"). This last weekend we took a fun drive to the the UP. It was amazing! The colors were breath-taking, the pictures don't do it justice. We really stayed on the UP. Dave is very adamant that the you only make it to the UP if you leave the mitten. We left Friday afternoon and came back late Saturday night, it was a long drive, but so worth it. And Ez was a champ! He only complained once or twice. And a quick stop to run around helped a lot. Our Lil' Stud
We went to the Law Quad to do a little photo shoot with sir Ez. Needless to say he was very distracted by the "guirls," translation squirrels and huge tent in the middle. But I did get a few good ones. Here are a few of my favorite.
