Fun With Nona & Pa.

I think the title sums it up. Ezra had 3 days with his cousins Aimery & Camdyn (from Rexburg). Needless to say that Nona & Pa spoiled them rotten. Nona took them to lunch and Build-A-Bear on Monday. On Tuesday Pa took them fishing and out in the garden. After they played hard Pa bathed them and Uncle Dave planned a a cousin sleepover. Let's just say Ezra wasn't quite ready to go to sleep. He ruined it for everyone...who's kid does that? It was a nice idea babe, maybe next time.

Watching them play on the grass really reminded me of the memories we made growing up. Maybe because I was mowing the dreaded lawn! Or maybe it was because my Dad and Mom always had time to do fun things with us girls. I remember working hard on Saturday morning but my parents always had a fun activities planned for the afternoon. We went on bike rides, swimming, visit cousins, made pea soup, learned new tricks on the tramp, played ball, or even just hung out and ate popcycles. We had lots of fun with the 5 of us! I am so glad that mom & dad taught us the importance of family time. I really hope that I can carry on the same traditions with my family. Dad always says "Work hard & Play hard" and boy does he live by it. Thanks Mom & Dad!

The other day my mom was cutting up watermelon and turned around for one second to find that Ez had snuck a big ol' piece of Yummy watermelon! He is becoming quite the character.

California Dream.

Dave and I have been living the California Dream for the last 4 days (2 days to go). It has been so nice to be able to get away for a week. Dave hasn't had to worry about school, I haven't worried about work, and we both miss Ez like crazy! We've been hanging out at the beach a lot , and just so you don't all get jealous, it hasn't been sunny at all! Poor Dave hasn't been able to surf this whole time :( But we've had a lot of fun anyway. We went shopping at the garment district Monday morning and went to Old Town to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. We ate at a super yummy Mexican restaurant, and just walked around. We went to movie, dinner, and just hung out on Tuesday. And today we rode bikes, read, played catch and hung out at the beach all day. Don't worry we made it back in time to watch the Jazz game and to grill some awesome steak. It really has been a great 4 days! Oh, how I love my Dave!

It is nice to be able to go out and about and not worry about when to eat or be back for nap time. Thanks to all the grandparents for taking time to watch our little man. We know he is loving it :)

Love Of My Life!

As most of you know Dave and I have been able to spend some alone time in California. I've absolutely loved the last 4 days and am looking forward for the next 2. I have realized more and more how much I love Dave! Thanks for all the fun Babe, Love Ya!
